the idea of KARMAKOSMETIX,
in the first place, was to make it serve as an extension from in the woods..., as we decided to quit the band. on our last gig, we were nine people on stage at the most. nine people that made it one helluva night to remember - just like it's supposed to be, i guess, after eight years of tamed tension, heh heh..
most of us have continued doing music in one way or the other, and the idea of kicking off a label was the most natural solution in order to keep the horses gathered (wow! that sounds kool!=). artists like STILLE OPPRØR, ODDVAR A:M, X-BOTTERI, SOxPAN, CHRISTOPHER SUN, NÆRVÆR, PLUTHO & TRANSIT all have connections the 'ol woods-hierachy, and you can lend an ear to them on the promosampler or at the sample-section.
a few months ago, i asked martin at german prophecy prod. wether he wanted to continue the collaboration we'd started on the "3x7 on a pilgrimage"-alum by woods(may 2000). after some talks on how to get things started, we signed a deal on december 18th, last year, meaning that we will take care of the bands recordings etc, while prophecy will handle promotional matters and distribution.
expect "karmakosmetix promosampler" & "in the woods... live at caledonien hall" no later than may, 2003!
